This red is super juicy on the palate and has a wonderful fruity vibrancy. The Morello cherry flavours come to the fore and are backed up by stewed prune notes adding richness and a hint of mint freshness. The Huber family has been making wine for 10 generations and today the winery is run by award-winning Markus Huber, one of Austria's most famous winemakers. Zweigelt is a relatively new grape variety, created in 1922 and is now the most planted red grape in Austria. The fresh acidity in this red makes it a great match for fatty meat like lamb or pork belly. Great lightly chilled.
