History: Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA was founded in 1930 in Pauillac, near Bordeaux, by the Baron Philippe de Rothschild. Today Baron Philippe de Rothschild remains a family owned company, lead by the 3rd generation of the Rothschild family. Nearly 90 years after its birth, Mouton Cadet, is the result of a history between Bordeaux wines and Baron Philippe de Rothschild.

Vinification: Throughout the vine growth cycle, Baron Philippe de Rothschild's winemakers keep a close eye on the selected parcels and advise our partner-winegrowers on vineyard practices in accordance with the quality requirements for Mouton Cadet. The grapes in each parcel are closely monitored as they ripen in order to determine the optimum harvest date. The wine is matured 4 months in stainless stell vats on fine lees.
