Lansinoh’s LatchAssist® Nipple Everter helps breastfeeding by gently drawing out a flat or inverted nipple so your baby can achieve a good latch and feed comfortably and successfully.
In the early days after birth, you may experience engorgement or swollen breasts – a temporary condition that can make breastfeeding difficult or uncomfortable. Your skin may also stretch so that your nipples become flattened where they used to protrude. If your baby is unable to get a flat nipple into the correct position to breastfeed, getting enough milk is not easy and can be frustrating and upsetting for both mums and babies. Using the Lansinoh nipple everter, mums can gently draw the nipple out just long enough for baby to grasp the nipple and areola and establish a good latch, the first step in successful breastfeeding.
How to use: To use the Lansinoh Nipple Everter, first select the LatchAssist™ size that is most comfortable, then with your baby in position to breastfeed, gently squeeze the bulb and place the cone over your nipple. Slowly release the bulb until your nipple is extended and your baby can easily latch on to the breast. Wash before and after use in hot, soapy water. Rinse and air dry. Replace back into the case ready for next use.
