History
Lamole is a diffuse but once heavily populated hamlet, which has always formed a single entity with the surrounding countryside, modelled over the centuries by the strenuous work of man and where iris and broom insinuate themselves between the vine rows and in the olive groves. Lamole di Lamole's uniqueness lies in the Chianti Classico, which enables them to bring the grapes to optimal ripeness while imbuing their aromatic potential with special elegance, richness and persistence.

Regional Information
Chianti was one of the first wine zones in Italy to acquire its own production regulations. The leading variety is Sangiovese, elegant, austerely tannic, and vibrantly aromatic. The zone extends from Florence to Siena. Soil types and site climates include lower-lying hill country with moderately loose soil in the south, and other areas like the centre and north, where valleys are narrower, slopes are steeper, and the soil is comprised of stones and sand formed by a mixture of oceanic rock.

Vinification Details
Temperature-controlled fermentation (at 26 °C; 79 °F) lasts for around 8 - 10 days, with pumping over in an open vat during the initial phase. This is immediately followed by the malolactic fermentation. Maturation of Sangiovese takes place in traditional 50hl oak casks, while the one of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in French oak barriques with various degrees of toasting.
