Our winemaking tradition dates back to 1847 when Johann Gramp planted his first vineyard on the banks of Jacob's Creek. This premium sparkling wine is made from carefully selected Shiraz grapes displaying generous blackberry and raspberry fruit aromas. The perfect sparkling wine for all occasions.

Storage

Sparkling wines and Champagne should alwaysbe stored in a cool and dry place away from light and heat sources. The idealtemperature for storage is 13-15 degrees C.    

Warning:  Sparkling wines  containhigh natural pressure. Do not allow bottles to get warm. Chill bottle beforeopening and avoid shaking. Point bottle away from others and yourself whenremoving wire, hood and cork. Hold the cork firmly and twist out slowly byhand. Never in any circumstances use a corkscrew to open.

Jacobs Creek Sparkling Shiraz is a multi-vintage wine. A multi-vintage or non-vintage wine allows the skilful blending of younger wines to impart vibrant colour and lifted primary fruit flavours with older wines that add soft textures and complex flavours. Overall this non-vintage Sparkling Shiraz wine is an exceptional blend of Shiraz from different vintages with different but highly compatible personalities.

Vinification Details
Determining factors for harvest timing are concentrated varietal flavours and fine tannin structure without any over ripe characters. After harvest the selected parcels of Shiraz fruit were gently crushed and de-stemmed, kept on skins for up to 15 days to ensure adequate colour, tannin and flavour extraction. The wines were blended and underwent the secondary fermentation resulting in a fresh well balanced sparkling wine with velvety tannin structure.
