The Chateau Clarke property was purchased by Baron Edmond de Rothschild in 1973. With a passion for excellence and the best things in life the Baron made Clarke a benchmark for the whole region.

Regional Information
This wine is a selection of the best clay/limestone slopes from Chateau Clarke, a fantastic ¿terroir ¿ for a great Merlot wine. The vineyards are carefully managed in order to get the lowest yield, achieving the best concentration and maturity in the grapes.

Vinification Details
Hand Picking and sorting in the Vineyard and again in the cellar prior to destemming, cold soaking and fermentation in oak and stainless steel vats. Automatic temperature control. Aged 100% in barrels. Ageing duration 16 months.
