Its color is a bright ruby red. On the nose, it is clean and precise, with hints of morello cherries, wild berries and a moderate spiciness. On the palate it reveals a full and firm flavor, expressing all its intensity and elegance
History
The Sassoregale Estate is located in the province of Grosseto, at the eastern end of the expansive plains intersected by the Ombrone River. This is the last uncontaminated area of Italy, a place where Tuscany is still wild and seductive, with a landscape untouched by man. The vineyards overlook the Tyrrhenian Sea, just a few kilometres away as the crow flies, in the centre of a plain surrounded by hills, with higher ground stretching towards Montalcino behind it.
Regional Information
The Maremma is an area full of strawberry trees, juniper, myrtle, heather, and brambles, not to mention cypress, cork oak, and pine trees. It is a region replete with aromas and colours, dotted with hills covered in meadows and woods that slope gently down to the sea, interrupted here and there by small plains. The vitality and characteristics of the great wines from the Sassoregale estate are the result of this beautiful scenery.

Following traditional red wine vinification (with meticulous maceration on the skins) and the malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for a brief but important period in small oak barrels.
