"This bar will bring out the salty sea dog in even the most refined of eaters! The juicy lime sings from your palate, swiftly followed by the subtle tang of sea salt making for a real voyage of discovery." SimonEvery piece of packaging on every chocolate that we sell is recyclable, biodegradable or compostable. That's right - 100% of our range is recyclable, biodegradable or compostable. This includes the glue, inks and stickers, as well as the tape, pallet wrap, and everything that we use for packaging and distribution. It's been a mammoth task and we are super proud of what we've achieved. In fact, we believe we're the first chocolate company in the UK to be able to make this claim on our entire range and across all packing materials. All our packaging is now only sourced from the UK and Europe, despite cheaper sources being available from countries further away. This supports our drive to become carbon neutral. All of our products are made by us in our factory by the sea in sunny West Sussex! We do not, and will never, use palm oil in our products. We know others use it because it's much cheaper than cocoa butter but we will never compromise on quality or taste. Over 50% of our range is vegan and all of our products are free from Gluten, GM, Colourings & Preservatives. We do everything in our power to minimise our impact on the environment. We pay a fair price to our suppliers, we always aim to buy cocoa from sources free from deforestation and we are totally against any form of slavery or forced labour.

Happy Planet, Happy People
Since our foundation in 2000, we've worked to a set of principles we call 'Trading Fairly'. These guide everything we do, from sourcing our cocoa, to developing our products, and working with our partners. We're passionate about finding ways to reduce our impact on our beautiful planet.
We're proud that all our packaging is either recyclable, bio-degradable or compostable at home. Helen & Simon Pattinson, Co-founders
Brand
Since our foundation in 2000, we have maintained and improved our founding principles we coin as 'Trading Fairly' which extends not only to how we purchase our cocoa but also our packaging and how we influence and impact all our partners. We are passionate about our impact on the small planet we live and trade with and this colours much of what we do and how we do it. Please pop along to our website to find out more.
