History: Produced by the Gabb family from Shropshire UK, who came to South Africa in 1995, purchased and started planting vines at the beautiful Journeys End. The estate has a very strong focus on sustainable and ethical farming and winemaking practices, working closely with nature and the local community. It is also Fairtrade certified. The Identity series was created in 2020 to deliver the unique Identity of Journeys End through both the wine itself and the labelling, bought to life via Augmented Reality.

Regional information: The Identity Sauvignon Blanc is made from grapes grown on coastal vineyard sites in Stellenbosch and also Darling. Beautifully concentrated fruit, is well matched with cooler coastal vineyard fruit delivering firm fresh acidity to the wine.

Vinification: Bunches are hand sorted, destemmed and crushed as gently as possible. After crushing, the grapes undergo four hours of skin contact inside of the press to enhance flavour extraction. The juice is settled until clear before racked and cold fermented (10 - 14 ˚C) for almost 1 month in stainless steel tanks to enhance the typical varietal characters. After fermentation, the wine is left on the lees for 4 months with regular battonage before being racked, fined and stabilized in preparation for bottling.
