Sparkling wines and Champagne should always

temperature for storage is 13-15 degrees C. Warning:Sparkling winescontain
high natural pressure. Do not allow bottles to get warm. Chill bottle before
opening and avoid shaking. Point bottle away from others and yourself when
removing wire, hood and cork. Hold the cork firmly and twist out slowly by

In 1847, a young Bavarian immigrant named Johann Gramp planted the Barossa Valley's first commercial Vineyard on the banks of Jacob's Creek. From the vine to the bottle, the mission for Jacob's Creek is simply to improve the quality of each vintage. Fruit was harvested from a variety of regions within South Eastern Australia that have traditionally provided the correct balance of flavour for the blend. The fruit is harvested at night when the ambient temperature is cooler, then immediately transported to the winery to be de-juiced ensuring minimal skin contact occurs. This is reflected in the wines, which are soft and flavoursome. In 30 years Jacob's Creek has won over 8000 awards, showcasing its true quality. Full weight with refreshing blackberry, and rich raspberry fruit characters. Soft velvety tannin and fine persistent mousse.

Shiraz grapes were grown specifically to be made into a sparkling wine, which requires very different grape maturity compared to those meant for still wine. Overall this non-vintage Sparkling Shiraz wine is an exceptional blend of Shiraz from different vintages with different but highly compatible personalities.

Vinification Details
Determining factors for harvest timing are concentrated varietal flavours and fine tannin structure without any over ripe characters. After harvest the selected parcels of Shiraz fruit were gently crushed and de-stemmed, kept on skins for up to 15 days to ensure adequate colour, tannin and flavour extraction. The wines were blended and underwent the secondary fermentation resulting in a fresh well balanced sparkling wine with velvety tannin structure.
