xAll our unsmoked bacon & lardons are now made without using additional nitrites or nitrates. We've worked hard over the past few years to find a way of curing our bacon to keep it food safe whilst also avoiding using nitrates or nitrite salts, traditionally used to make bacon. This is the result. Great tasting bacon cured with salt and flavoured with organic fruits and vegetable extracts; lemons and the fruit of the Mediterranean carob tree. Sqaure cut our lardons are perfect for adding flavour and texture to your culinary creations.Our bacon is made from free range, outdoor bred pigs raised to the highest welfare standards - going above and beyond the usual organic standards. We do not routinely use any antibiotics and NEVER use critically endangered ones. The pigs are fed on a GM free diet and their food is supplemented with fresh waste fruit and vegetables from Abel and Cole adding colour and variety to their day. All our pigs are free to roam and root as pigs love to do. They live in warm pig arks with plenty of straw bedding and we even dig wallows for them to cool off in when the weather gets hot. If you like our unsmoked streaky bacon, make sure you try our unsmoked back bacon too or our sausages or pulled pork.

Keep refrigerated below 5oC. Once opened use within 3 days and by the date shown on front of pack. Suitable for home freezing. Freeze on day of purchase and use within 3 months. Fully defrost before using and use on same day.
Preparation and Usage
Use as your recipe dictates. Fry turning frequently for 4 to 6 minutes. Ensure product is piping hot before serving. Perfect for Carbonara or added to your sauces for flavour and texture.
Our top tip: For the best results, remove from the fridge 15 minutes before you want to cook to bring the product up to room temperature.

- Our pigs are free range and outdoor bred in plenty of space with the opportunity to express their natural behaviours - Free range all their lives, slow growing and resulting in wonderful tasting meat!
- We recommend eat less but better (organic) meat and these cured products are a wonderful treat to have from time to time rather than a daily staple.

I love my pigs! I've farmed them since 1986 here at Eastbrook in Wiltshire, where I keep rare breed Saddleback sows. We work with 2 or 3 other farmers, and they share my philosophy - give livestock freedom, in almost every sense, and they deliver great tasting food.
