INGREDIENTS:Fortified Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin), Sugar, Wheat Gluten, Salt, Yeast.

Bread machine method
As all cooking appliances vary, please refer to your machine's instructions.

Hand baking method
500g Sainsbury's Crusty White Bread Mix
310ml water, lukewarm
25g butter/margarine or 1tbsp of oil, if desired
Put the mix in a large bowl, add butter/oil and rub in with the fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
Gradually mix in water to make a soft dough.
Knead well on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic then place it back into the bowl and cover loosely with lightly oiled cling film. Leave the dough in a warm place for about an hour to rise.
Tip the dough out onto a lightly floured surface, knead well, place in a greased 2lb loaf tin and cover loosely with lightly oiled cling film. Leave the dough in a warm place for about half an hour.
Remove cling film and bake in a preheated oven 230ºC (450ºF, gas mark 8) for 30 minutes, 15 minutes for rolls, or until golden brown. Bread must be allowed to cool fully before storing in a dry, airtight container.
