History: Created in 1936 in Gigondas, Gabriel Meffre was known for his visionary approach in winemaking and blending. 80 years later our winemakers continue his legacy by carefully selecting expressive grape varieties from the various parcels and blending them together to produce enjoyable full bodied wines ; Our commitment to Durable development has also incited us to launch extensions of Organic wines in all our ranges
Regional information: Gigondas is a commune in the southern Rhône valley and an appellation for red, rosé and, more recently, white wines. Best known for its reds, the appellation can produce blends of southern Rhône varieties to rival its more famous counterpart just to the southwest, Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The two are often compared.
Vinification: Machine harvested in September. Pressed using pneumatic press. Vinification with separated grapes with a 2 to 3 week maceration. Malolactique fermentation before moving to the storage tank. No aging.
