Sosu Japanese Donburi Meal Kit: a trip to discover one of the most famous Japanese street food.
This convenient meal kit contains individual sachets of SOSU Miso Cooking Paste, SOSU Teriyaki Cooking Sauce, SOSU Furikake seasonings, and SOSU sticky sushi rice.
Just add your choice of protein (meat or a plant-based alternative, perfect with tofu!), and vegetables and follow the recipe steps inside the kit or online here that will guide you through the cooking process.
Experience the perfect balance of sweet and savoury flavours. The star of this dish is the teriyaki flavour, derived from the Japanese words "Teri" meaning to shine, and "yaki" referring to grilling.

01. COOK RICE
Preheat the oven to 200C/180C fan/gas mark 6.
In a small saucepan, add the SOSU Sticky Rice and 250ml water with a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then cover and turn to a low heat for 12 mins (by this time the water will have absorbed and the rice will be sticky and soft). Keep in the pan with the lid on until ready to serve.
02. BAKE PROTEIN
Cut half a head of broccoli into florets and place with the salmon or your protein of choice in a deep baking dish. Squeeze over the SOSU Miso Cooking Paste (the small sachet) and mix well. Bake for 10 mins.
03. GLAZE
Take the baking dish out of the oven, pour over the SOSU Teriyaki Cooking Sauce (the big sachet) and return to the oven for a further 3 mins.
04. SERVE AND ENJOY
Divide the rice between two bowls, add the protein and broccoli and grate the carrot on top. Sprinkle the SOSU Furikake Seasoning to taste.
At Japanese Meal times:
Be careful not to raise your food above your mouth.
Traditionally in Japan, your mouth is the highest point your chopsticks should ever reach. No need for a staring contest with your Donburi before you eat it.
