History: La Compagnie de Burgondie is a co-operative made up of around 1000 growers covering 3,200 hectares and 40 appellations in Burgundy.
Regional information: Montagny is one of the most recognised appellations in the Cote Chalonnaise in Burgundy. Montagny produces white wines which are known for their higher acidity and more robust body than other Chalonnaise whites. The high levels of limestone in the soil help to develop these facets, as well as imparting a certain beneficial minerality on the wine. Its acidity and minerality make it a great value alternative to Chablis.
