After opening this pack there will be an odour present from the packaging, this will quickly disappear. The eating quality of the basa is not affected.

Cooking instructions: Oven
Oven cook from chilled but can also be poached. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Preheat oven to 200°C. Fan 180°C. Gas 6. Remove all packaging. Separate the fillets and wrap in lightly oiled foil to form a parcel. Place on a baking tray on the middle shelf of the oven. During cooking: Cook for 14 minutes After cooking: Check food is piping hot. As the natural thickness and size of the fish and the performance of cooking appliances varies this is a guide only.
Cooking instructions: Poach
To poach from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Low heat. 4-5 mins Before cooking: Remove all packaging. Place fish into a suitably sized pan. Cover with milk or water, bring to the boil, then reduce to a simmer. During cooking: Cook for 4-5 minutes. After cooking: Check food is piping hot.
