Oat beta glucans have been shown to help lower blood cholesterol. Blood cholesterol lowering may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. One 40g portion of Superfast Oats provides 1.8g of beta glucans from oats, which is 60% of 3g, the suggested daily amount.

This is our traditional recipe; please adjust the water or milk level to suit your own preferences.
Hob: From Ambient
For one portion mix 40g (1/2 cup) with 200ml (1 cup) water or milk in a saucepan and bring to the boil; boil for 1 minute while stirring gently. Remove from the heat and stand for 1 minute before serving.
Microwave: From Ambient
For one portion mix 40g (1/2 cup) with 200ml (1 cup) water or milk in a microwave suitable bowl; cook on full power† for 1 minute; stir, then cook for a further 1 minute. Leave to stand for 1 minute before serving.
†Based on an 800W microwave oven. If yours is different adjust the time to suit.

Store in a cool, dry place away from strong odours. To maintain optimum quality after opening roll down bag and use within two months, and by the best before date.
