History
Terroir: Located in the Arribes del Duero Natural Reserve, the soil composition, together with the continental climate, and maritime influence, makes this an ideal place for sustainable viticulture. The vineyard is conducted in the Smart-Dyson trellis.
Located at the heart of Europe's biggest Nature-protected area, famous for its biodiversity ands Its range of watercourses that have eroded deep valleys and vertiginous cliffs and dug the famous Duero Canyon.
Regional Information
72 h.a. of carefully managed vines, where we work with the latest viticulture techniques and grow international grape varieties (Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) as well as Spain's indigenous Tempranillo, all of which are handpicked and carefully selected.
Hacienda Zorita Natural Reserve wines are awarded the MARCA NATURAL official certificate by the Regional Ministry of Agriculture (sustainable agriculture and traditional products of the area)

Vinification Details
Vinification Process: A limited production wine which captures the Spirit of Duero. The carefully selected handpicked grapes are fermented slowly in order to achieve maximum fruit extraction. The wine is then aged for 18 months in new French Allier oak casks in the Magister Ageing Cellar at Hacienda Zorita.
