When it comes to perfume, it’s not one size fits all. Some people prefer scents that  are fresh and light, others prefer a  muskier and deep aroma. However, some perfumes use a combination of ingredients that make them stand out from the crowd. Here is a list of the top six most popular scents of 2023.

Dolce & Gabbana- The One for men

The One for men was released in 2008 by Dolce & Gabbana, only two years after its female counterpart.

The base notes of this scent are amber, tobacco and cedar which give this scent an oud undertone. The middle notes are ginger, cardamom and orange blossom which are paired with the top notes of grapefruit, coriander and basil. The perfect balance of sweet and spice make this fragrance ideal for both day and night.

Dior- J'adore

J’adore was released in 1999 by Dior.  It was the first fragrance to be released but due to the popularity of the original, Dior then created a range of J’adore scents, varying in concentration.

The base notes of the original J’adore consists of musk, vanilla, blackberry and cedar. The middle tones of this fragrance lean more towards the floral palette as it includes jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, tuberose, freesia, rose, orchid, plum and violet. The top notes balance off this fragrance as they include pear, melon, magnolia, peach, mandarin and bergamot.

The mixture of sweet, flowery and fruity really emphases why this perfume held on to its popularity since 1999.
