About this bottle: Viognier first caught Yalumbas eye in the early 1970s, when the chief viticulturist visited the Rh ne Valley in France and the varietys spiritual home in the appellations of Condrieu and C te R tie. In 1980 Yalumba planted 1.2 hectares of Viognier on the Vaughan vineyard, a property neighbouring the hallowed Yalumba grounds. This land, situated on the elevated slopes of the Eden Valley, represented the first significant plantings of Viognier in Australia. More than twenty five years later, Yalumba is a champion of this unique variety, which is grown organicially for this wine.
