The William Morris Gallery holds the only known example of this design; the original archive document is a hand painted silk designed by William Morris' head designer, John Henry Dearle, in 1905. The intricate Liverpool artwork has been beautifully framed by a calming Lily Leaf pattern, adapted from the background within an earlier William Morris wallpaper print named Lily, created in 1874.
