These organic wonky apples help combat food waste by rescuing imperfect but flavorful fruit from small UK farms. Enjoy them as a healthy snack or use in various recipes, knowing you're supporting sustainable agriculture.
Wholegood sources organic produce from small and medium sized farms that care about the soil they grow in as much as the flavour it produces. It's not aesthetically perfect, exteriors can sometimes be blemished and shaped a bit wonky, but this does not compromise flavour.
Our wonky apples vary in size each week, sometimes large, sometimes small, but we always guarantee a minimum weight of 1kg. The varieties will change regularly and may be mixed in a 1kg pack. By purchasing our wonky produce, you contribute to reducing food waste, a significant issue in society today. We work closely with our organic growers to rescue perfectly edible produce that may otherwise be discarded.
This partnership allows them to harvest more of their crop, minimising wasted energy and resources. Each year, millions of tonnes of produce are wasted due to size and uniformity standards. we are proud to be able to offer our wonky produce to help our growers sell as much of their crop as possible at a more affordable price.
Our packaging reflects our commitment to the planet. Our netting is plastic free & home compostable - made with Beechwood recovered from the thinning of European FSC or PEFC certified forestry.
Good for you, good for the planet.

Preparation and Usage: A fun twist on the traditional papaya salad, an apple Som Tam that champions the aromatic and sweet-tangy flavours of the fruit. Roughly matchstick your apples, and roughly pound with a few cloves of crushed garlic, finely chopped chillies (Thai chillies are best for this recipe), some tamarind juice for extra tang, a squeeze of fresh lime, a few table spoons of fish sauce (or light soy for vegans), with a few tablespoons of dissolved Palm sugar - brown sugar works too, in a pinch. You can add halved cherry tomatoes too for some added nutrition and flavour, we stock a lovely vine ripened variety.
