Boil for 10-12 minutes and toss with pesto for a classic Ligurian meal. This Waitrose No.1 Trofie Pasta is made with durum wheat semolina and slow-dried to preserve its Italian character. Produced by a family company in Italy, it is a delightful pasta for everyday cooking.
Our No. 1 Trofie is made in Italy by a family company. They use modern techniques that mimic traditional methods of pasta making, rolling and shaping the dough to get the classic trofie shape, then drying it slowly to capture the flavour of Italian durum wheat semolina. Traditional to the Liguria region, trofie is usually served with pesto, but works well with most smooth sauces.

Cooking Instructions: Hob: Hob. Boil: 10-12 minutes. Allow approximately 90g dry pasta per 180g cooked serving. For best results, place pasta in a saucepan of boiling water, boil for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally. A shorter cooking time results in a more al dente (firm) texture. When pasta is cooked drain immediately and serve. Pasta absorbs water when cooked. 90g of uncooked pasta weighs 180g when cooked. Nutrition per serving is based on cooked weight.
