The Waitrose No.1 Italian Espresso is a slow roasted ground coffee with notes of dark chocolate and a smooth finish. It is crafted from a blend of Arabica and Robusta beans, roasted in Italy by a fifth-generation family business. Use this fine grind to make an authentic espresso shot or as a base for cappuccino and latte.
A full-bodied coffee with notes of dark chocolate and a smooth, lingering finish. The espresso coffee beans are roasted in Italy by a fifth generation family business founded in 1856. They secure the best beans from trusted growers, blend them to create a distinctive flavour profile, and slowly drum roast them to bring out the richness and intensity that makes the perfect espresso.

Usage: Preparation: Waitrose Italian Espresso is designed to make the perfect short, dark, intense espresso shot, and can also be used as the base for an authentic cappuccino or latte. Some 100% Arabica coffees fight with the sweetness of milk, but ours is carefully blended so that it can be enjoyed black, or with hot or cold milk. We use a fine grind for this ground coffee, making it perfect to use in a filter machine, stovetop or traditional espresso machine.
