History: Founded in 1820 by William and John Graham in Portugal's Douro Valley, for two centuries Graham's has cultivated its reputation as one of the greatest names in Port. The quality of Graham's Port relies on the finest grapes, primarily sourced from four iconic Quintas in the Douro Valley.
Regional information: The Douro is the world's largest area of mountain vineyard and a Unesco World Heritage site. Our vines are planted on steeply terraced hillsides and much vineyard work continues to be done by hand - an increasing rarity in the world's great wine regions. Our indigenous vines provide low yields of very high quality grapes, due to their natural adaptation to our climate and our well-draining schistous soils.
Vinification: Made from a blend of traditional Portuguese grape varieties principally Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional, with smaller contributions of Sousão, Alicante Bouschet, Tinta Amarela and Tinta Barroca. Our LBVs are matured in wood for five years prior to being bottled ready for drinking.
