Based in Pommard with a few vines in Beaune, Mersault and Vonay, this certified organic estate stretches across 8 hectares. Owned by the fifth generation, Joannes has quickly become renowned for his wines. Pioneering the use of small ceramic spheres for vinification instead of traditional oak barrels. The Platiere vineyard is located in the middle of the Pommard Appellation, and only the lower part is classified as Premier Cru. 100% pinot noir, the vines are planted on a clay limestone with Jurassic marls.
