Nocino Toschi complies with the production disciplinary of "Tradition and flavors of Modena", a collective trademark of the Chamber of Commerce for the products of the Modenese agri-food tradition. The walnut husks, still tender, are cut into four parts and infused before being pressed to extract all their precious essence. Cloves and cinnamon, a proportion of sugar and water are added to the infusion to obtain the alcohol content and the characteristic roundness of taste. With a characteristic bouquet and intense flavor, the Nocino di Modena Riserva Toschi is produced completely without dyes, and is expertly left to age for at least 5 years in oak barrels. Above each bottle is indicated the year of infusion of exclusively Italian walnut husks. According to tradition, during the ritual night of San Giovanni - June 24 - the women disappeared in the darkness of the countryside to gather under a walnut tree. The most expert climbed the ladder to choose the most intact hulls, wrapped in a veil of dew. In the yard, bonfires were lit and freshly picked walnuts were deposited on the ground on empty sacks so that they could still receive the dew at night, considered a panacea for all ills.The Nocino di Modena Riserva Toschi, with distinctive bouquet and intense and unmistakable flavor, is ideal for serving smooth, at room temperature, at the end of the meal.
