This water-free solution contains 0.5% Retinol, a well-studied ingredient that aims to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and textural irregularities. While Retinol has been studied extensively, it can be irritating to the skin for first-time users and requires a build-up of skin tolerance. For this reason, we generally recommend using Granactive Retinoid 2% or Granactive Retinoid 5% for first-time users. This formula also offers hydrating benefits due to the presence of Squalane.
