Display this Beehive earthenware vase with single stems or fuller arrangements to enhance its sculptural appearance. Designed by Arjan Van Dal for The Conran Shop, it features a curved silhouette that casts soft shadows. Made in Portugal from fine earthenware, it combines British design with Portuguese craftsmanship.
Designed by Arjan Van Dal for The Conran Shop, the Family of Vases collection is inspired by an original series of vases designed by Sir Terence Conran in the 1990s. Made in Portugal from earthenware, each vase is slip-cast from Arjan's original hand-thrown masters made in his North London Studio.
Their curved, architectural silhouettes are designed to catch the light and cast soft shadows, with tonal variations that emphasise their sculptural nature.
The Beehive Vase features a distinctive rounded form with a gently tapered base, working beautifully with both single stems and fuller arrangements.
This marks the first time London-based potter Arjan Van Dal has worked on a large-scale production, having previously focused on one-off pieces. The resulting collection spans 21 distinctive vases across nine complementary hues, each designed to be displayed individually or as a collected series.
