Ingredients: Wheat Flour [Wheat Flour, Calcium, Folic Acid, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin], Brown Sugar, Icing Sugar, Raising Agents (Monocalcium Phosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate), Cinnamon, Ginger, Flavourings, Caramelised Sugar Powder, Salt.

Preparation and usage

What you will need: 185g Softened Unsalted Butter; 1 ripe banana, 2 medium eggs, 900g (2lb) greased and lined loaf tin.

What's included: Spiced sponge cake mix, Salted caramel flavour icing mix.

Cooking time: 40 minutes

Method: Oven

Method:

• 1. Pre-heat the oven to 180C/Fan 160C/Gas 4.
• 2. Empty the cake mix into a mixing bowl and add eggs and 155g softened unsalted butter.
• 3. Mix with an electric mixer for 2 minutes until smooth.
• 4. Mash 1 ripe banana, add to the mix and fold in.
• 5. Pour the mixture into the tin and bake in the oven for 40 minutes until risen and golden brown.
• 6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before transferring on to a cooling rack.
• 7. Empty the icing mix sachet into a bowl and add 30g softened unsalted butter.
• 8. Whisk until the icing is light and fluffy.
• 9. Use the icing to decorate as desired.
