Tesco Lemon Drizzle Cake Kit 320G

Lemon drizzle loaf cake kit consisting of individual sachets of lemon flavoured cake mix and lemon flavoured drizzle mix.

Ingredients: Wheat Flour [Wheat Flour, Calcium, Folic Acid, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin], Sugar, Icing Sugar, Raising Agents (Potassium Carbonate, Monopotassium Phosphate, Monocalcium Phosphate), Natural Lemon Flavourings (2%), Acidity Regulator (Citric Acid).

Preparation and Usage:

What you need:

• 2 medium eggs
• 80ml vegetable oil
• 60ml (4 tbsp) cold water
• 10ml (2 tsp) boiling water
• 5ml (1 tsp) cold water (for the icing)
• 900g (2lb) greased and lined loaf tin

What's included:

• Lemon flavoured cake mix
• Lemon flavoured drizzle mix

Cooking time: 40 minutes. Method: Oven.

To make the loaf cake:

• 1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C/Fan 160°C/Gas 4.
• 2. Empty the cake mix into a mixing bowl and add eggs, vegetable oil and cold water.
• 3. Mix with an electric mixer for 2 minutes until smooth.
• 4. Pour the mixture into the tin and bake in the oven for 40 minutes until risen and golden brown.
• 5. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before transferring on to a cooling rack.

To make the icing:

• 1. Empty half the icing mix sachet into a bowl and add the boiling water and mix until dissolved.
• 2. Prick the top of the cake with a fork and drizzle over the cake while still warm.
• 3. In a separate bowl empty the remaining half of the icing mix and add the cold water, mix to a smooth icing.
• 4. Once the cake is cool drizzle the icing over the cake.
