You’ll find a plethora of whisky producers in the Scottish Highlands, but Tamdhu is decidedly different – founded in 1896, it is one of the last distilleries to malt its barley using a mechanical saladin. Committed to producing only the very best sherry cask matured whisky, this 12-year-old iteration is matured exclusively in a combination of first-fill and refill Oloroso barrels, resulting in a silky texture that recalls banana and berry jam with a pleasantly long finish.
