HEATING IN MICROWAVES
Make sure the spatula is not inside the product during the heating.
Always place the product at one side of the microwave place, never in the centre. We recommend including an image indicating the correct and incorrect position.
Observe the product as it is heated.
After each use the quantity of wax remaining is reduced. The heating times must be reduced proportionally.
Don't overheat the wax to prevent the risk of burns.
If any anomalous behaviour is observed during the heating, such as deformation of the tub, immediately switch off the microwave and don't touch the product until it has cooled down.
Heat the wax by following heating times included in leaflet depend on potency of microwave.
The heating times set out are an indication. If a microwave is used that is more powerful than that which is indicated, reduce the heating times proportionally.
REST
Once the heating period has finished, let the wax sit in the microwave for a minute with the door closed.
MIXTURE
It is common to find pieces of unmelted wax after heating.
Mix the wax for the time indicated in the previous table with the help of the spatula to achieve a uniform temperature. After having mixed it, the wax must have a consistency like honey.
REHEATING
If the wax is too thick to be mixed, heat it again according to the times indicated in the table. Mix until you obtain the appropriate texture.
TRY BEFORE USING
Before applying the wax, test with great care in a small part of the skin (for example the inside of the wrist) whether its temperature is correct. If the wax is too hot, apply immediately abundant cold water, remove the wax and allow the product to cool until it reaches an appropriate temperature.
APPLICATION AND REMOVAL OF THE WAX
For greater effectiveness, the hair must be between 2 and 5 mm long.
Before the depilation, the skin must be clean and dry, with no traces of cream. It is recommendable to apply talcum powder to completely dry the skin.
Pay attention to the temperature of the wax. Wax that is too hot can cause burns. Before applying it to the skin, it is necessary to check the temperature of the product in a small area of the skin, such as the inside of the wrist.
Determine the direction of growth of the hair.
Using the spatula, take an amount of wax of the size of a walnut. Rotate the spatula to prevent it from dripping.
Using the edge of the spatula and without pressing too hard, spread with wax softly and in one go in the direction of growth of the hair.
The layer of wax must have a thickness of between 1 and 2 millimetres. A finer layer would be difficult to remove.
The edge of the wax layer must be thick (approximately 2 mm) to facilitate its grip in the removal.
Wait until the layer is dry, but still soft and malleable. If it is left for too long (more than 1 minute) it will become rigid and will be difficult to remove.
Start to remove the thickest part of the layer of wax with the help of your nails or the spatula. Keep the skin tense with one hand and with the other pull the layer of wax with a rapid movement parallel to the skin and in the opposite direction of the growth of the hair. It is very important that the product be removed energetically and flush with the skin.
Do not depilate the same area more than twice. Wait for 48 hours before depilating the same area if the skin is irritated.
Eliminate the traces of wax using a post-depilatory wipe or baby oil.
In the event of burns, apply cold water to the affected area for 10 minutes and seek medical help. Don't try to remove the layer of wax.
ADVICE FOR APPLICATION
UNDERARMS
Underarm hair tends to grow in two directions, so that depilation of the underarms must be done in two steps.
Lift your elbow and move your hand towards the back of your neck.
For the upper area of the underarm, spread the wax towards the direction of the elbow. For the lower area, repeat the same procedure in the opposite direction.
BIKINI AREA
Apply the wax only in small areas.
Keeping the skin firm, use the correct part of the spatula to apply a layer of wax in the direction of growth of the hair.
LIPS
Labial hair tends to grow in two directions, from the centre to the ends, so that it must be eliminated in two steps: on the one hand the left side and on the other the right.
The skin on the face is extremely sensitive. The skin must be kept firm before eliminating the wax and the temperature must be checked very thoroughly before carrying out the depilation.
LEGS
Divide the area to be depilated into smaller regions according to the direction of growth of the hair.
Use the spatula to spread the wax softly and in a single movement from your knee to your ankle. The wax strip should measure between 10 and 15 centimetres at the most.
AFTER THE DEPILATION
Do not leave the spatula inside the wax after using it.
Clean the spatula with the edges of the pot.
Soften the depilated skin with the wipes that are included or with baby oil. This will eliminate the last traces of wax, leaving it soft. Do not use water, soap or alcohol to remove traces of wax.
