Description
Strong Beer
Slightly hoppy taste
Notes of fresh coriander and fruity tones.
Sip, savour and feel the freshness. As the Chouffe Brewery's first creation, La Chouffe gets off the mark with its signature citrussy notes and triumphs with a pleasantly spicy finish. Forty fantastic years since its launch, La Chouffe is the go-to beer for shared moments: after a brisk walk, around a campfire or in town with friends.
La Chouffe has a palate with citrus notes followed by a refreshing, pleasantly spicy note, giving it a lovely lightness. The taste is best described as slightly hoppy, with notes of fresh coriander and fruity. This Belgian specialty beer is high in bitterness, strength and spice.
The story of the Chouffe Brewery started in the late 1970s in the Vallée des Fées (Valley of the Fairies), when the 2 brothers-in-law Pierre Gobron and Chris Bauweraerts decided to brew their own beer. The first brew was produced in August 1982 in the garage of Chris's mother-in-law. Since then, the Achouffe Brewery has been in the good hands of a gnome family. They ensure that the beers shine throughout the country and far beyond.

Serving suggestion: Chouffe beers need to be poured very carefully. To get a frothy foam pour 2/3 of the beer at an angle of 45°. With the glass upright, pour in the rest of the beer and get a wonderfully thick and creamy head.
