Ingredients

Paprika, Salt, Red Chilli, Ginger, Black Pepper, Cumin, Large Cardamom, Garlic, Fennel, Cinnamon, Papaya Powder, Maltodextrin, Cane Sugar, Acid: Citric Acid, Humectant: Sodium Phosphate, Canola Oil, Anticaking Agent: Silicon Dioxide

Preparation and usage

• 1. Mix 5-6 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1/4-1/2 teaspoons of food color, 1 packet Shan Tandoori Masala and 2 tablespoons oil/butter. Apply to 1 1/2 kg/3.3 lbs (8-12 portions, make slits on each) chicken pieces. Prick all over the meat. Set aside for 30 minutes.
• 2. Whip and strain 1 cup (200g) of plain yogurt. Apply to the chicken and set aside for 3+ hours.
• 3. Preheat oven to 350°F. Arrange the chicken pieces in a tray and discard the marinade. Bake the chicken pieces in the preheated oven for 25 mins. Apply 4 tbsp of oil/melted butter to the chicken and grill the chicken on high until lightly brown or barbequed.

Serving Suggestion: Serve hot chicken tandoori with Shan tamarind chutney and Shan green chutney.
