Preparation and Usage
On The Hob:Mix 40g of oats with 195ml of milk (or cold water) in a saucepan and bring to the boil.Simmer for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally.Serve with sugar or salt to taste.Remember, Guid Gear Comes in SMA' Bulk*.* Meaning good things come in small packages. Or small(ish) bowls.In The MicrowaveIf you're pushed for time, then you can prepare Scott's in the microwave (it's probably best to try and make sure no one is watching)Mix 40g of oats with 195ml of milk (or cold water) and stir.Microwave your oats, uncovered, on High (minimum 800w, category E) for 2 1/2 minutes.Remove with care as the bowl may be hot. (And you don't want to drop your Scott's.) Then enjoy.

Family RecipesFlapjacksPreparation and cooking time: 30 minutesMakes 8 wedgesJust add sultanas to this recipe for a fruity flavour.125g butter or cooking margarine125g demerara sugar5 tbsp golden syrup225g Scott's Old Fashioned Porage Oats 1tsp ground gingerPreheat oven to 190C, 375F, Gas Mark 5. Grease a 20cm sandwich tin.Melt butter in a large pan and stir in the sugar and syrup. Add the Scott's Old Fashioned Porage Oats and ground ginger and mix well.Using the back of a metal spoon press mixture evenly over the base of the tin and smooth over.Bake for 20 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes in the tin, then score into 8 wedges.Cool completely, turn out and break into wedges.Look out for other delicious recipes on our Scott's Old Fashioned Porage Oats packs.
