History: Nestled in the foothills of central Italy's Abruzzo region, lies the Terre di Chieti IGT. As the wines of Terre di Chieti are not of DOC or DOCG status, vintners producing under this designation have certain flexibilities with winemaking and viticulture practices, such as which grapes may be grown and how long the wines may be aged.
Regional information: The foothills of the Abruzzo region grow some of the best grapes in Italy. About 60% of the wines from the Terre di Chieti are white, with a vast majority produced from the indigenous Pecorino varietal.
Vinification: The grapes were crushed and destemmed, then fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine had 1-2 months lees contact before bottling.
