One 40g serving of Scottish porridge oats provides at least 1g of beta-glucan from oats, which is 33% of 3g, the suggested daily intake.

Cooking instructions: Hob

To cook on the hob. Before cooking: Place 40g of product per person in a saucepan. Add 250ml of cold water per person (milk can be used for a more creamy porridge). During cooking: Bring to the boil and simmer over a moderate heat for 3-4 minutes, stirring continuously. After cooking: Check food is piping hot. Do not re-heat once cooled. 700w 5 mins. 800w 4 1/2 mins. 900w 4 mins Microwave: Before cooking: Place 40g of product in a large microwaveable bowl. Stir in 250ml of cold water (milk can be used for a more creamy porridge). Do not cover. During cooking: Stir halfway through. After cooking: Check food is piping hot. Allow to stand for 2 minutes before serving. Do not reheat once cooled. All cooking appliances vary.
