Install batteries the right way round, observing polarity signs (+ or -) on battery and appliance
Always replace all batteries at the same time never mixing old or new batteries or battery types/ brands
Remove batteries if equipment is not in regular use, store separately to avoid short circuit
Remove exhausted and expired batteries promptly
