What the medicine is for

Sainbury's Haemorrhoid Relief Suppositories relieve the pain and irritation of piles. They contains lidocaine, a local anaesthetic, to relieve the pain and allantoin to help heal the affected area.

Active ingredients per suppositroy: lidocaine hydrochloride 10.25mg, allantoin 10.25mg.

Also contains: colloidal silicone dioxide, witepsol and purified water.

How to use the medicine

Wash your hands before and after use.

If necessary empty the bowels before use.

Remove the protective film before use by tearing the strip at the notch or by cutting around the suppository.

Insert the suppository as deep as possible into the rectum.

Adults, 12+ years: Insert one suppository at night and in the morning after emptying the bowels.

Do not use for children unless your doctor tells you to.

Storing the medicine Do not store above 25 degrees centigrade

Adults, the elderly: Wash hands before and after use. If necessary empty the bowels before using the suppository. Remove the protective film and insert the suppository as deep as possible into the rectum. One suppository should be inserted night and morning after each bowel movement. Do not use for more than 7 days unless advised by your doctor. Not suitable for use in children.
