Well, in 2024 I was delighted when Sainsbury's introduced their own brand of free from bran flakes which, unlike most GF cereal, was tasty and not over sweetened and, for a change, cost no more than regular cereal. The reviews, written by coeliacs like myself, grateful for descent and reasonably priced GF food for once, were super-positive. But, is wasn't to last.. within 6 months Sainsbury's Free From bran flakes were no longer in stock. Sainsbury's had realised they can make a killing out of us coeliacs whose diet is limited by a life-long health condition by re-packaging the exact same cereal and charging us 50% more. And they thought we wouldn't notice! Bad show Sainsbury's! Robbery! Outrageous!
