Cooking instructions: Hob
To cook on the hob. The day before: Soak 100g chickpeas in 500ml cold water for 12 hours or overnight. Before cooking: Drain and rinse thoroughly, place the soaked chickpeas into a large saucepan with 800ml water. During cooking: Bring to boil and boil for 10 minutes. Reduce the heat to low, cover with a lid and simmer for 85 minutes or until chickpeas have softened but slightly firm to bite. To cook on the hob 95 mins. Drain: Drain and rinse thoroughly. All cooking appliances vary. This is a guide only.
