Grape - Gamay
Style - Smooth & mellow
Taste - Juicy black plum flavours with a chocolate finish
With - Cold meats and cheeses
A medium-bodied red with black fruit flavours in abundance - fleshy plums, rich blackberries and juicy black cherries. The finish hints at dark chocolate and its silky texture caresses the palate. Brouilly is one of the famed ten Crus of the Beaujolais wine region. This smooth red is richer in style than most Beaujolais wines and has a real elegance and complexity. The wine takes its name from Mont Brouilly where the beautiful 13th century Château de Pierreux is situated. Pair this smooth, fruity red with a platter of cold meats and cheeses and some crusty French bread.

Volcanic eruptions of Mont Brouilly that date back millions of years and pockets of pink granite soils give wines of this region their unique structure, elegance and fruit-driven style.
Regional information: Brouilly central-north Beaujolais which has a continental climate.
Vinification: Hand picked and trained using goblet training method. Grapes are sorted, destemmed and spend two-weeks in maceration with temperature control in concrete vats with daily pumping-over or shedding, pneumatic pressing.
