Used extensively for sauces such as Bolognese, lasagne, chilli con carne. Also, a wide range of Italian style rice and pasta dishes. Ideal flavouring for quiches and pizzas; add to marinades for meat and fish recipes. Mix with mayonnaise and a little lemon juice for a traditional seafood sauce; alternatively mix with honey, soy and Worcester sauce for a quick and tasty barbecue sauce. Essential for traditional Provençal recipes or gazpacho, an ice cool summer soup.
