Preparation and Safety:
You will need: 2 medium eggs, 160ml Semi Skimmed Milk, 30ml Vegetable Oil, 12 hole baking tray / Frying pan.
Yorkshire Puddings - makes 12: Preheat oven to 240C / Fan 220C / Gas 8. Whisk the eggs and semi skimmed milk in a bowl with a balloon whisk. Gradually add the batter mix, whisking until smooth. Pour the batter into a jug. Add 1/2 tsp of vegetable oil per pudding into a 12 hole baking tray. Heat in the oven for 10 minutes and then remove to add the batter. Divide the batter equally between the 12 holes. Bake in the centre of the oven for 20 to 25 minutes until golden. Ensure piping hot and do not reheat. All cooking appliances vary. Pancakes - makes 4 x 8 pancakes: Whisk the eggs and semi skimmed milk in a bowl with a balloon whisk. Gradually add the batter mix, whisking until smooth. Preheat 1tsp of oil in a non-stick frying pan until hot. Add a ladle of batter mix and swirl around the frying pan to create a pancake. Fry for 1 minute and 30 seconds or until the underside is golden, turn over the pancake and cook for a further 1 minute and 30 seconds. Repeat until all the batter is used.
