Cooking instructions: Hob
To cook on the hob.
Before cooking: Place 75g of rice per person in a sieve and rinse under cold running water. Bring a large pan of water to the boil. Add salt if desired. Add rice to the pan and stir. During cooking: Return to medium heat and simmer for 15-18 minutes or until water is absorbed. After cooking: Drain well. Check food is piping hot. Fluff up with a fork and serve immediately.
