ROMAIN DUVERNAY PRESTIGE SPIRAL AOP LIRAC
Confident in the development potential of a wine-producing region as rich as the Rhône Valley, Jean-Marc POTTIEZ decided to create the nRm MILLESIMES winery in 2016. He partnered with the talented Romain DUVERNAY and acquired his signature brand. Via this signature, his goal is, on the one hand, to consolidate the appellation line from the north and south of the Rhône Valley, and on the other hand, to promote exceptional estates, for the most part in organic viticulture, thus meeting the evolving expectations of consumers.
Regional informationOne of the most Southern crus of the Rhone Valley, growing in tranquil solitude well away from the beaten track. Vines have been grown here since ancient times, and even in the Middle Ages these vineyards in the Côte du Rhône were renowned for the quality of their wines. The appellation area encompasses the best soils in four communes in the Gard département. Blending the terroir wines together creates a distinctive Lirac style, powerful, well-structured and aromatic, but always fresh and elegant. A gem to look for.
Tasting notesDeep purple color. Rich and elegant nose with aromas of blackcurrant, redcurrant, and raspberry. As it ages, it develops notes of candied fruits, pepper, and cocoa. The palate is velvety and well-balanced, with good aromatic persistence on notes of small red fruits.
