Made of beech wood, sourced within 100km of the Peugeot Factory in Quingey, near Besancon, France, where the mills are made, they feature a gold-toned matt finish that brings out the natural woodgrain pattern.
These u'Select mills are adjustable with six settings, ranging from extra fine to very coarse, depending on the type of grind required for cooking and seasoning. At 18cm tall, these mills make a statement on any table.
The two-stage grinding mechanism effortlessly shatters and then grinds the dry salt crystals or peppercorns to the desired grain size. Salt intensifies aromas, balances other flavours and makes vegetables tastier. Choose very finely ground pepper to bring out its spice when cooking, or a coarser grind to highlight its aromas, flavour and texture, for example, when adding to a salad. The gear mechanisms are made of durable stainless steel that is treated to prevent corrosion and rust, and guaranteed for lifetime longevity.
To refill the mills, simply unscrew the top knob, lift off the top and pour in your salt or peppercorns. Use only dry sea salt or rock salt, thanks to the Zirlion salt mechanism, to a maximum size of 4mm. For peppercorns, the maximum size is 6mm. Includes sample salt and pepper sachets and a free silicone filling funnel.
