Instructions
Temporary lock
Press the button down with your thumb; release the button to allow automatic extension and retraction.
Fixed lock
Press the button down and then forward.
To unlock, pull the button back and release it.
If the line becomes very wet, carefully fully extend the line, lock it, and leave it to dry.
Carefully retract the line once dry.
Frequently examine the lead and discard it if signs of wear or damage are present.
Selecting the correct lead for your requirements
The recommended weight holding capacity of the lead is based on the maximum static dog weight. If your pet is very boisterous and active, the max weight capacity may be exceeded in certain situations (e.g. applying the line lock when your dog is running fast) causing the lead to break.
If in doubt, select a lead with a higher capacity weight than your pet's static weight.
Warning
When using your retractable lead there are a few basic, common sense, precautions you should be aware of.
Make sure your dog's collar is correctly fitted and that it cannot pull over their head.
When approaching other dogs, people or hazards (e.g. roads) we recommend that you apply the lead lock.
Don't let children use the retractable lead-or play with it. It is not a toy.
Don't use the lead with a tie out stake or other fixed tie point.
If the lead is extended without being attached to your pet don't let it retract in an uncontrolled way as to do so could result in personal injury.
No user serviceable parts inside-do not open.
