Otrivine Blocked Nose Relief 0.1% w/v Nasal Spray provides relief from the symptoms of nasal congestion due to colds, sinusitis and allergies, such as hay fever.
Each application delivers a measured dose which works within minutes to clear a blocked nose and relieve excessive nasal secretions for up to ten hours.

Suitable for

Adults and children aged 12 years and over

Age Restriction You must be at least 16 years old to purchase this product.


How to use

Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use. Patient Information Leaflets are updated periodically by the manufacturer.​   Before using for the first time, prime the pump by actuating 4 times. Once primed, the pump will normally remain charged throughout regular daily treatment periods. If the spray is not ejected during the full actuation stroke, or if the product has not been used for longer than 7 days, the pump will need to be reprimed with 4 actuations.

  Dosage for adults and children over 12 years: one application in each nostril up to 3 times daily.


Hazards and Cautions

Not suitable for infants or children under 12 years. Keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children.

Do not use continuously for more than seven consecutive days. If symptoms persist consult your doctor.
Warning: Do not take more medicine than the label tells you to.
If you are pregnant or taking other medicines or are under a doctor's care consult your doctor before using Otrivine.
Each Otrivine pack should be used by one person only to prevent any cross infection.
If accidentally swallowed, seek immediate medical advice.
Storage
Do not use after the expiry date given.
After first opening, the nasal spray can be used until the end of the shelf-life.
Precautions
This is a medicine; 
  • Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist 
  • Seek advice before using if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding or if you suffer from allergies.

Ingredients

Active Ingredient: Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.1%w/v. Each application contains 140 micrograms. Also contains: Hypromellose, sodium chloride, sorbitol, sodium phosphate, sodium acid phosphate, disodium edetate, benzalkonium chloride and purified water.
